WORKSHOPS

As an award-winning language and literacy teacher with a broad range of teaching experience in primary, secondary, tertiary and adult education, I also deliver engaging presentations and interactive, educational workshops for adults and children.

I would be delighted to visit your school, library, writers' group or literary festival. Through my experience as a presenter and senior teacher I have taught all levels from grade one to adult and can tailor a workshop or talk to suit your group's needs and ages.

I am represented by the speakers agency, SPEAKERS INK .

School Visits

My primary and secondary school sessions balance all three strands of the Australian National English Curriculum: Language, Literature and Literacy. Using visual stimuli, original sketches, illustrations and drafts of manuscripts,

I take students behind the scenes in the creation of books for children, where they learn narrative structure, visual literacy and how text and images work together.
